On July 15th, Guizhou Golden Monkey was photographed in Guizhou Golden Monkey Research Center in Fanjingshan National Nature Reserve.
In order to strengthen the protection of the golden monkey population and its habitat, the Yunnan Golden Monkey National Protection Network proposes to set July 15th as "Golden Monkey Day" every year, calling on the whole society to jointly protect them. Golden monkey is the collective name of the genus snub-nosed monkey in primate family, including Yunnan golden monkey, Guizhou golden monkey, Sichuan golden monkey, Vietnam golden monkey and Myanmar golden monkey.
Guizhou golden monkey is a national first-class protected wild animal, and it is one of the two key protected and managed species unique to Guizhou (the other is Abies fargesii in Fanjing Mountain). Fanjing Mountain is the only natural habitat of Guizhou golden monkey. There are about 800 golden monkeys in Guizhou, the number of which is less than that of giant pandas, and it is known as the "only child on earth". Photo by He Li
